Product Manager

In 2025, we made some of our most impactful product improvements yet. Driven by your feedback, we focused on making safety management more organised, and easier to stay in control of, every single day.

RAMS updates

RAMS folders

Managing a growing number of RAMS just got easier. Folders give you a flexible way to organise your RAMS in a way that reflects how your projects work in real life.

With folders, you can:

  • Group RAMS by site, client, or project phase
  • Favourite important folders and pin them to the top
  • Quickly jump back into recently used folders

This update helps keep your dashboard clean, reduces clutter, and makes it easier to find what you need, even when managing dozens of RAMS.

Folders are available for Small Teams and above plans

Custom RAMS view

Alongside folders, we introduced powerful new ways to control how your RAMS list is displayed.

Now you can:

  • Filter RAMS by approval status, client, live status, signatures, and more
  • Choose which columns are visible to highlight important information
  • Sort and resize columns for better readability

Whether you’re preparing for an audit or reviewing approvals, your RAMS list now adapts to the way you work.

Customisable risk matrix

Risk assessments are not one-size-fits-all, so we made the risk matrix more flexible.

What’s new:

  • More matrix sizes, including 3x5, 4x4, 8x6 and beyond
  • Custom labels, numeric or text-based
  • Expanded colour options for clearer visual communication
  • Improved layouts in the app and exported PDFs

These updates help teams align risk assessments with internal standards and communicate risk in a way that works for your organisation.

This feature is available for Small Teams and above plans

Images in risk assessments

We’ve now extended the ability to add images directly into your risk assessments as well.

Why it matters:

  • Faster understanding of hazards on site
  • Fewer mistakes and less ambiguity
  • Clearer RAMS for briefings and sign-off

Images are included automatically in exported RAMS PDFs, with no extra formatting required.

Simpro integration: phase one

Our first Simpro integration launched this year, helping reduce admin and keep systems in sync.

You can now:

  • Automatically create RAMS from new Simpro jobs
  • Keep job details synced between Simpro and HandsHQ
  • Upload approved RAMS back into Simpro

This removes double data entry and ensures everyone is working from the latest documents.

Reordering additional RAMS documents

Uploading supporting documents is now much more flexible. You can add attachments in any order and reorder them at any time, making it easier to present RAMS exactly how you want.

Training Register updates

Personnel profile photos

Profile photos are now available across HandsHQ, improving identification where names are similar. Photos also appear in training reports and alongside digital signatures on the RAMS, making verification clearer both in the system and on site.

Choose courses on personnel training reports

Before exporting an individual training report, you can now select which courses to include. This makes it easier to share only the training that matters for a specific client or job.

Assign teams from the personnel profile

Teams can now be assigned directly from a personnel profile, removing the need to switch between pages and making everyday admin quicker.

Training notes in reports

Training notes now appear in all training report types, including expiring, completed, and training status reports, keeping important context visible wherever you need it.

Coming soon

Multiple languages

HandsHQ will soon support multiple interface languages, starting with Spanish early next year. This is the first step towards better localisation for teams operating across non-English-speaking regions.

Individual role requirement overrides

We’re introducing individual course overrides for role requirements, allowing exceptions for specific employees, such as medical exemptions, without changing the role for everyone. This adds flexibility while keeping compliance intact.

Simpro integration: phase two

For customers using Simpro maintenance jobs, phase two will allow a single RAMS to be linked to multiple jobs on Simpro. This will simplify repeat work, reduce duplication, and keep documentation consistent across sites.

At HSI HandsHQ, we’re driven by a single vision: ensuring that everyone goes home safely at the end of the day. Your feedback fuels our mission. Keep sharing your ideas on our roadmap and vote for the features you’d like to see next.

Thank you for being part of our journey. We’re very excited to keep building with you in 2026!
